Conducting capacity building to reconciliation workers is part of WAPE’s mission. For this reason, WAPE held a two-day retreat for its reconciliation workers together with their spouses.
The group was taken through trainings on intimacy with God which translates to intimacy with spouse and other activities such as games and special dinner meant to strengthen their marriage relationships which results to healthier families. Having healthy families results to healthier reconciliation workers.
One participant said “This is the best gift WAPE has given us since we became reconciliation workers.” The retreat taught them how to pay attention to their partners and their relationships. It is like a relationship tune-up; everyone needs a relationship tune-up now and then no matter how happy or healthy they are in their relationships.
